About C22
We exist to end veteran suicide.
Challenge 22 raises awareness and funds programs that save lives. Founded in Florida in 2017, we now serve veterans, active duty, first responders and family members still fighting the effects of PTS and suicidal ideation.
Mission Statement
Challenge 22 exists to end veteran suicide by raising awareness and funding programs that save veterans’ lives.
Vision Statement
To have a nationwide presence where veterans and communities come together to end veteran suicide.
Why 22?
A historical VA estimate of 22 veteran suicides per day inspired our name. Every life matters, and ending veteran suicide remains our challenge.
How we help
We vet and partner with non-profits offering a wide range of proven modalities, fund their work, and require annual reports on lives impacted.
The results
Over 10,000 heroes have received assistance through our partners, with not a single reported suicide among them. There's still so much more to do.

A moral imperative
Ending veteran suicide recognizes the toll of war on mental health. By prioritizing mental health services, removing the stigma of seeking help, and offering comprehensive support, we honor their dedication and strengthen our nation.
Understanding PTS
Post-Traumatic Stress can bring flashbacks, nightmares, hypervigilance and emotional numbness. With treatment, therapy and a caring community, veterans can heal and reclaim a fulfilling life.
